Log Out Landing

Log Out Landing emerged out of a realization that many university students in New York City struggle to connect with their individuality amidst a city full of distractions.

But rather than an escape, this space is an intervention to dig deeper into the parts of New York that people don’t always think about. It begs the question, what lies below the surface of the city? And, more so, what lies below the surface of you?

In the Walt Disney Imagineering Imaginations Competition, my team was given the prompt to transform a space on campus while respecting the surrounding environment. Log Out Landing transforms a NYC rooftop into a dynamic space for students to socialize, expand their minds, and exhale in meditation. The space is  divided into three different types of rooms, shaped like giant pipes that have overgrown with nature, looking more like logs.
