Hey Mickey!

My name is Mickey Santana. I am a 2020 NYU graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Media, Culture and Communication with minors in French and Business of Entertainment, Media and Technology.

Originally from the Philippines, I moved to Hong Kong at the age of 7, attending a French school learning French, Spanish (and a little Mandarin!) before moving to New York in 2016 to attend NYU.

I am passionate about art and design, painting and drawing since childhood. I had my first solo exhibition in 2016 exploring my Filipino identity and culture. In the last four years, I have honed my skills in digital design through my internships at Thomson Reuters and Universal Pictures, in addition to being the President of the NYU Urban Design & Architecture Society. Currently, I am a Social Media Intern at the Agora Fine Art Gallery and the Head of Marketing for Grounded: The Roots of Revolution, a feature-length documentary about sustainable agriculture.

I also love to sing and write music - check out the Music tab to listen to my original songs! I’m also a big Swiftie and love to cover Taylor songs. I’d love to sing with you, just let me know!

I’m a life-long lover of movies and am obsessed with the Oscars and award shows (ask me for my annual Oscar ballot spreadsheet!).
